Located only a stone’s throw away from Southbank’s Cultural and Performing Art Centre and 1km away from the CBD, West Village is Brisbane’s most anticipated residential precinct. The state-of-the-art lifestyle village is a unique project bound to set a new standard for the city. From rooftop gardens, to 2.6 hectares of green space, surrounded by a variety of cafes and retail stores, West Village embodies the cultural philosophy of West End.

Our extensive scope for West Village covers multiple fronts and areas of the precinct including all residential gardens, The Common area, Sekisui House’s offices and more. Our landscaping work encompasses planting and garden maintenance inclusive of pruning, weeding, training of vines, insecticide, fungicide and herbicide application. Due to the area hosting a number of activities and events for the public, it is imperative that we continually monitor and adapt our turf management programs depending on the workshops/functions being run.

Our property service scope involves ensuring that all venue rooms are kept clean and tidy pre and post events, that includes the restaurant area or “Garden Pantry”, the Bromley Room (art expo area) and all public bathrooms on site. Ensuring all electrical is in optimal working order including the 2500 illuminated stems installed throughout the Common gardens is imperative. Other various tasks include the set up of workshops, reshuffling of site/ redesigning areas to fit with the theme of the week, repairing and restoring of the site post events/weddings and monitoring of the Sensory Garden’s animals (chicken coop).

Being a highly frequented public site and host to a multitude of events throughout the year, Hedge Property Services is also brought to interact on a daily basis with visitors and offer assistance where required. Our team also held multiple educational workshops as part of their “West village, Gardener series” teaching guests, tips and tricks on how to successfully grow and maintain their plants at home.

The area currently counts over 400 pots, 57 ex-ground trees and over 7000 plants. Hedge Property Services is proud to have participated in the establishment of a project that is sure to reshape West End. Our team is looking forward to reaching the next stages of development.
